Notification settings let you control which alerts your facility receives and through which channels.
Notification categories
| Category | Description |
|---|
| Case Alerts | Real-time notifications during surgical cases — milestone recordings, status changes, flag detections |
| Schedule Alerts | Scheduling and timing notifications — late starts, schedule changes, block conflicts |
| Tray Management | Device rep coordination — tray confirmation requests, delivery updates, reminder triggers |
| Reports & Summaries | Scheduled reports — daily summaries, weekly analytics digests, monthly scorecards |
Per-notification controls
Each notification type has:
- Enable/Disable toggle — animated slide switch (blue when enabled)
- Channel checkboxes (visible when enabled):
- Push — mobile push notification (iOS app)
- In-App — notification badge within the web platform
- Email — email delivery
How settings are stored
Notification settings are facility-level — they apply to all users in the facility. When a new facility is created, settings are seeded from the global notification template with sensible defaults.
Changes save automatically with a brief loading spinner on the individual notification.
Start with the defaults and adjust as your team identifies which notifications are most valuable. Over-notifying can lead to alert fatigue.
